Short description

Puzli is a calm cut-paper puzzle app for little ones. There are no levels: children help Bento the bear pack for a picnic, mend a bridge, fill a basket. Every story is three puzzles, nothing is timed or scored, and there are no ads.

Long description

Children in Puzli don’t play levels. They help a bear pack for a picnic, mend a bridge, fill a basket, and find out what happens next. Each pack is a little world with its own stories, and each story is three puzzles played one after another. Nothing is timed and nothing is scored.

Puzli doesn’t need words. There are no menus to read in the little ones’ world, only shapes, animals and a place to put them. Puzli is patient, too: when a child stops, it waits, and only after a long pause does a hint appear. A character looks toward the right place. There are no arrows, bubbles or voices.

The first pack, The Little Forest, is free and holds three stories. Before the Cold, the first paid pack, brings autumn to the forest and five more stories. Everything meant for grown-ups (settings, purchases and the privacy policy) sits behind a parent gate.

How Puzli helps without words

  • It waits. A child looking at the scene is not stuck: the screen has to stay still for about 20 seconds before any hint.
  • The hint comes from the scene. A character looks toward the right place. There are no arrows, bubbles or talking mascots.
  • A wrong try says nothing. There is no buzzer and no red cross.
  • Hints follow the way things are built, so a child who follows them builds each scene in the order it makes sense.

Privacy and safety

  • Puzli collects nothing about the child: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
  • It never asks for the camera, the microphone, the location or contacts. The stories are already on the iPad and play without the internet.
  • Purchases go through Apple’s App Store. To know which packs an iPad has bought, Puzli uses RevenueCat, which never receives a name, an email address, a card or anything about what the child plays.
  • Settings, purchases and the privacy policy sit behind a parent gate.
